I received a box of samples of Special Dark and Extra Dark chocolate for review, and let me tell you, this is some GOOD chocolate. I’m already a big fan of Special Dark, so I loved the Special Dark with Almonds.  If you enjoy fruit-and-chocolate combinations, you’ll love the Extra Dark with Cranberries, Blueberries and Almonds and the Extra Dark with Pomegranate, both of which have tiny bits of chewy fruit inside the rich chocolate.  The pouches of Extra Dark contain individually wrapped squares making portion control easy.   One bar of Special Dark and three squares of Extra Dark chocolate have as many antioxidants as 2/3 cup blueberries, a glass of wine, or 2 cups of green tea!

    I remember growing up when my mom would buy a bag of Hershey’s Miniatures how me and my dad would fight for all the special dark bars. My mom would think we were crazy because she couldn’t stand them!! Now when I buy a bag I make sure I take some to my dad when visiting and we always get a chuckle when thinking back.     Oh my favorite even before people started loving it was the small available only once a year Hershey’s Special Dark that you could get at halloween in the mixed pack..and even then there was only a handful…

    My fav is their Kisses. Years ago when my grandmother was still alive I loved to visit her house. She had a very ornate covered candy jar and always kept Hersheys Kisses in it and I would swipe one every chance I could! So yummy!
