My daughter the drama queen

This morning, Chris took Ryan and Kaitlyn with him to our friends Stacy and Ross’ house for a day of Magic: The Gathering and other card games. It’s been snowing for four days, with some melting in between, so our driveway has a few slippery spots that are hard to see since they are covered up with a dusting of new snow.

The three of them are headed to our van when Ryan slips on an icy patch and falls (he’s okay), bumping into Kaitlyn and knocking her down (she’s okay too). She gets up and starts doing this fake sniffling cry, from the way Chris told it, she was just trying to elicit some sympathy.

So Chris reminds her that when the three of them (Ryan, Nathan and Kaitlyn) rough-house, which they do practically every day, she gets knocked down much harder than that (which is true, that little girl has taken some lumps in her day playing with her brothers). And Kaitlyn sniffs, and says:

“They really don’t pay much attention to me at all.”

what what WHAT??? That little faker! If those boys paid any more attention to her than they already do, they would BECOME HER. She is such a drama queen!

Don’t let her petite size and sweet face fool you, this little girl is TOUGH.
