I’m working with Crisco to promote a new feature of their website called Crisco Cooking Chronicles. I received this fantastic basket of Crisco products for review; I’m pretty much set for cooking oils for about the next year! Thank you so much, Crisco!
The winner of this giveaway will receive a Crisco basket just like the one shown, containing the following: Light Olive Oil, Puritan Canola Oil with Omega-3 DHA, Pure Olive Oil, Pure Vegetable Oil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Olive Oil cooking spray, a Moleskin notebook (for jotting down recipes!), a Crisco apron, and a set of olive oil tasting dishes (not shown).
Crisco Cooking Chronicles is a new feature of the Crisco website that lets consumers connect and share their cooking and baking stories through posts on a message board. The site will also serve as a hub for video tutorials and tips for tackling everyday cooking and baking challenges so home chefs can learn to make the most out of their time spent in the kitchen. Kicking off with an olive and canola oil theme, the tutorials section will help consumers incorporate more easy and delicious recipes into their everyday diets like “Herbed Parmesan Bread Dipping Oil, “Grilled Salmon with Maple-Dill Glaze” and ”Classic Blueberry Muffins.”
Also, Consumers who upload a “cooking chronicle” on the Crisco Chronicles page will be entered into a series of drawings, with four monthly Grand Prize winners receiving a basket of Crisco products and $500 for kitchen supplies. Additional consumers will receive a Crisco spatula while supplies last.

I entered a chronicle, but I got a message saying it can take up to 48 hours for it to post, and it hasn’t posted yet, so I can’t send you a link to it
However, my chronicle was titled “Vanilla Differences” and I asked what the differences among light and dark vanilla are.

For my daughter’s 1st birthday, I decided to do her cake myself. It was a Blues Clues cake. Since then, I do all of the birthday cakes for all three of my daughters, and cakes for various family members. The best part is I love it, and have found it is excellent stress relief.

I posted a cooking Chronicle, answering a question about how to make Sweet Potato Fries. I posted my recipe for these fries, which are delicious and so easy to prepare.
I like the Cooking Basics section, especially the All about artichokes article. I really don’t know much about artichokes and have always wanted to cook them but didn’t know how.
They have a tutorial on Crisco.com comparing the different grades of olive oil & when they are each appropriate. I was just wondering about this the other day, perfect timing!

I use the crisco spray for making eggs.
I loveeee the recipes on crisco.com. I made one tonight!
I went to crisco.com and completed the task by putting up a tip, however it stated it would take up to 48 hours to post so I can not link it up.
I did put a tip on how to keep mashed potatoes warm by puting them in a rice cooker on warm.

I left a few comments, etc. at the Crisco site, but they may take a while to show up.. one was about olive oil use for cakes (my favorite is extra virgin oil and lemon zest flavored cake). My grandson is allergic to dairy and I use olive oil instead of margerine, butter, etc. etc.

I really like Crisco’s Virgin Olive Oil – I also use their canola oil to make mayonaisse for my grandson since he can’t have any corn products either.. (challenges for grandma (grin).
