To my U.S. readers, Happy 4th of July! I hope you are with family and friends, eating and laughing and getting ready to watch fireworks tonight. Our township had fireworks last night, and we’re doing the cookout tonight. We’ll be having my All-American Burgers, potato salad, corn on the cob, and watermelon, and then building a fire in our hibachi grill and toasting marshmallows for S’mores after it gets dark.

Memorial Day …this was big grand one.
The most part of it was a day to chill out. I could see tents getting pitched, boats hauled, national parks crowded, tourist spots bustling, and freeways jammed.
But it’s a day of enjoyment
