Now that I’m back from BlogHer, I have to stop avoiding my inbox and get some work done. Sponsored content provides very-much-needed doses of income that help Chris and I stretch between paychecks, so I’m always grateful to advertisers who are willing to PayPal me some cash in exchange for my opinion on their website.
The authors of a website about Krill Oil asked me to take a look at their site and explain it here. They had purchased an ad on the sidebar but I don’t think it got enough clicks. I’m still trying to figure out how to manage sidebar advertising so that it gives advertisers some traffic to their sites.
Anyway, I took a look at their website which is still in the informational stage. They will be launching a Krill Oil product on the site soon. For now, the site explains what Krill Oil is and why it’s important. What I think of when I see the word Krill is that scene from Finding Nemo where Dory says that whales eat Krill and then says “oh look! Krill!” LOL
Krill are a very small ocean crustacean, and the oil extracted from them is very high in Omega-3 fatty acids. Omega 3 fatty acids are a “good fat” that the body needs but cannot produce on its own and therefore can only be obtained from food sources. Krill Oil also contains astaxanthin, a red pigment also found in salmon, shrimp and lobster that is known to be a powerful antioxidant.
Antioxidants help prevent cell and tissue damage in the body by donating an electron to an unstable molecule, something I learned only after much googling. Krill Oil is a rich source of EPA and DHA, two polyunsaturated fats that provide antioxidants to the body to help fight free radicals.
I encourage you to visit KrillOil.com and learn more about why it can be a good supplement to take for your body’s health. Just be prepared to do a lot of googling if you really want to understand it all ![]()
