Like my Welcome box in the sidebar says and like the new header says, we are a family of TV watchers. I am absolutely a TV geek. When I watch TV I’m constantly playing the “where have I seen that guy before?” game, either out loud with whomever else is watching, or to myself if I’m alone. I usually keep my laptop on with a tab open for IMdB so I can quickly look someone up.
“You know, he was in that movie we saw last month, the one with that other guy that’s been in a ton of other stuff?”
I also am constantly making The Whedon Connection when I watch TV. I get crazy excited when a guest star on one of my fave shows is someone who was on Buffy/Angel/Firefly or in the Serenity movie. Like on last night’s Law & Order Los Angeles, when I realized that Harry Groener was playing a lawyer, and he was The Mayor on Buffy. That’s The Whedon Connection!
So, without further ado…
LET’S TALK TV!
To kick things off, let me rundown the shows I’m currently watching (or eagerly awaiting as the case may be):
So You Think You Can Dance
America’s Got Talent
The Voice
The Glee Project
Web Soup
Tosh.0
Law & Order: Criminal Intent – series final next Sunday
Law & Order: L.A.
In Plain Sight
Drop Dead Diva
Entourage (HBO) – final season premieres June 24th!
True Blood (HBO) – season premiere June 26th!
Royal Pains – season premiere June 29th!
There are a bunch more shows that I wish I had been watching from the beginning, like Burn Notice and White Collar and Covert Affairs. After 20 years of subscribing to Entertainment Weekly you’d think I’d have learned by now that if they keep mentioning a show as one to watch, it’s probably one I’m going to like. Next week I think I’ll do a post about TV shows available on Netflix
And now, my dear readers, here’s where you come in. I want to talk TV with you! What are your favorite shows this summer? What’s on Netflix that I should be watching? Leave me a comment!

Hi fellow Michigander!
I love SYTYCD!!! To me, it is a sign that summer is really here when this show starts a new season. I also watch True Blood and Royal Pains, from your list. We just started watching The Glades, and we love it! I totally recommend it.
Thanks for dropping by my blog!
