It was pretty much a given that Mom Blogging For Dummies was going to be amazing, seeing as it’s written by the fantastic Wendy Piersall. Wendy and I met at BlogHer 2007 and I’ve been a fan of hers ever since. When she asked me on Facebook this past April if she could use Table for Five in her book, I was both thrilled and honored. From the product description:
The population of mom bloggers is growing at a stunning pace and they boast an audience of more than 23 million women reading, posting, or commenting on blogs every week. This fun and friendly guide targets moms who are looking to become a savvier blogger, build a personal brand, earn free products to review or give away, or make some extra cash through ad revenue. Named by Nielsen as one of the most influential moms online, author Wendy Piersall helps you determine the right business model for your blog and then create a professional, in-demand personal brand.
Table for Five is on page 232, as an example of how to use text link ads in the sidebar of a blog. With a screenshot and my URL visible. The first thing I did when I got home from Brands and Bloggers was show everyone in my family, especially since Ryan, Chris, and Kaitlyn are visible in the header, so in a way, they are in a book too!
Wow. My blog is in a book.
