But keep in mind, some of this is because they feel the need to cram every square inch of wall space with bright visuals (even though such things distract ADHD/ADD kids from learning) and pass out toys or treats for good behavior (even though doing so keeps children from learning to behave well for the sake of behaving well).

My mother has been a school teacher for the past 20 years and every year she gets a certain amount of money to spend on school supplies. If she goes over then she pays for it. In a certain way I think teachers know what they are getting into and some just want the “extra” stuff for their classroom.
I believe it my best friend is a school teacher and she says she spends money on her students all the time
