I’m going with familiar meals this week, we’re pinching pennies while getting caught up on some past due bills. We plan 4 dinners a week, Fridays we eat pizza, and Saturdays and Sundays we usually forage through the fridge and cupboards or run to the store for something specific.
All five of us drink a glass of milk (or more) at dinner, Kaitlyn has milk at both breakfast and lunch at school.
There’s a linky at the end of the post, please add the URL to your Menu Monday post or anything food or recipe-related. Enjoy!
MENU PLAN WEEK OF 2/25
Slow Cooker BBQ Pork Roast Sandwiches on Sesame Seed Buns with oven fries.
Spaghetti with Italian Meat Sauce, garlic bread, and corn
Roast chicken with red potatoes and steamed broccoli
Hot Dogs with Baked Beans and whatever vegetable we’re in the mood for. I always keep corn, broccoli, peas, and green beans in the freezer.

I plan meat but not sides, those I just do on the fly this week’s meals are:
Angel Crockpot Chicken, Ground Beef Stroganoff, Teriyaki Chicken, Leftovers, Spaghetti, Hamburger Steak, Italian Porkchops and Ham.

I’m the same — I plan every meal (and most lunches) but RARELY plan sides. It’s a weak point!

I actually love preparing hotdogs with baked beans and corn kernels for breakfast. We normally try to have this every week, at least once a week.
Anayway, nice menu plans.
I keep telling myself that I need to plan my meals out. It would make my life so much easier!

The trouble is you always start out with the best intentions (at the beginning of the week), to cook some healthy and delicious meals, but something always seems to get in the way! Definitely having a set routine is the way to go… One of my favorite dishes is a chicken & pasta dish – I just grab a cooked chicken from the store, add some yummy pasta sauce (capsicum/tomato/onion flavored etc) and shell pasta, sprinkle it with lots of Dill herb, and maybe a glass of red wine for us adults (the perfect accompaniment to it)… YUM!!! It’s simple but very effective, and feeds us all for one night.
