I first “met” my internet twin on my blog reading rounds way back in ‘07. This was back when I had TIME to do a blog reading rounds, and I realized that Elizabeth and I had several similarities in our lives. In fact, it was the reason why I finally commented – to mention that we seemed to be twins. At the time, I didn’t realize just how many things there really were. Things like: we’re the same age. we’re both SAHMs we both have 3 kids our kids are each close in age to the other It wasn’t until we FINALLY got to meet, though, that we discovered even MORE similarities, such as we’d both had 3 c-sections, we both had those lovely hernias, we’re both 5’ tall, we both are ummm.. pleasantly plump… I mean, the list just went on and on! Elizabeth had told me ahead of time that she was bringing me a present. So when we finally met up for the very first time at BlogHer 10, I was even more excited. Coffee with old friends
Kaitlyn and I met up with some friends of mine today for coffee, and much to my surprise, they were accompanied by someone I hadn't seen in YEARS - my high school best friend Brandi! Here's Bil on the left, Brandi in the middle, and Will on the left: Bil and Will run Webzone Marketing , and they gave me some great advice and much-needed help with my purloined blog title situation. It's shameful that I haven't kept in touch with her, but I plan to start now, because she's just as wonderful as I remember. It was a very good day. … [Read more...]
Party At SuperTiff’s!

I had such a great time on Friday night meeting up with Tiffany, Missy, Aimee, and Andrea, plus Tiffany's friend Amber was there too. Look how gorgeous we all look! Andrea's not in that photo, she got to the party a little late. Because her four and a half year old son wrote out her directions which were a little hard for her to decipher :) And Tiffany used to be a bartender at Bennigan's, so she has this like Blender Mojo when it comes to making Strawberry Daiquiris. With frozen strawberries, frozen pineapple chunks, and a banana to mellow things out. They were thick and frosty and SO GOOD. We just talked and talked, Andrea showed me how to twist my hair into a bun and told us about how she won Whoorl's Hair Thursday contest. Missy told me about her job as a Classroom Assistant to a young boy, and Aimee brought her husband and told me about how she started blogging. I had such a good time hanging out with other bloggers and not having to run off to some activity, … [Read more...]
