If you need some a kick start to your birthday invitation creativity, here are some awesome ideas that you can customize and adapt to your party.

1. Princess – What girl doesn’t love being treated like a princess? If you are holding a princess-
themed or dress up party, a princess design for the invitations can make a big impression. Crowns, tiaras, dragons, and knights in shining armor are all appropriate for this type of party. Your guests will be overjoyed to receive one of these cards.
2. Slumber party – If you are hosting a slumber party, a great way to design the invitations is with
the sleepover in mind. Think of pillows, counting sheep, nail polish, and face masks, and make sure that the card includes some of these motifs. If you plan on camping in the backyard, for example, be sure to include a tent or a campfire on your card to get your guests excited. invitations are a good idea for kids who love pets and other animals: dogs, cats, horses, monkeys, and even animals. This idea is also perfect if you plan on holding your party at a zoo, farm, animal reserve, or other location with animals.
5. Party activities – If you are holding the party at a specific location, like a birthday at the beach, or if you plan to have a special event, like a magician, you can use that as inspiration for your birthday invitation cards. Your guests will get a good idea for the fun that is in store.

I have good news about both, the Wii is at an all time low price of $149 and you don’t need to go out and re-buy a brand new XBox, you just to buy the Kinect, which will also set you back $149. The great thing about these motion sensor games is that they are easy to play and you can decide how much effort you want to put into the game. The parental generations don’t need to know how to ‘pwn noobs’ with the traditional XBox controllers since with the Kinect, you use your own hands and feet to kick, punch and throw.

HD Projector: Is it tough to round up all the kids for a movie night out? Then bring the movie theater experience home. So stay in the pjs, make some popcorn and fire up that projector and enjoy the movie!

Sporting Event/ Concert Tickets: We aren’t talking about Disney on Ice or the circus. Take your kids to the local professional football, baseball or whatever sport they will enjoy. Nothing is better than having your kids jacked up on cotton candy and soda, while you enjoy an over priced beer and root on your favorite team. Sports are not your thing? Then check out a classic rock artist on tour and your kids will thank you when they get older. Rock greats like Bruce Springsteen can still put on a heck of a show that your kids will even enjoy.

Children are keen to show their independence from a very young age, and even small toddlers will try to do things like take off their baby clothes by themselves without any help. This is a natural and important part of growing up, and they need a lot of support as they learn to do things on their own. Dressing is a particular area that many little ones try to master early on, by trying to put on and take off boys clothes or girls dresses all by themselves.

Although early attempts often go wrong, children aged as young as two can in fact begin to learn how to dress themselves. This is actually an important milestone in the child’s development, as independent dressing should be established by the time they start attending school, when they will need to be able to change their own clothes for games and swimming lessons.

When choosing children’s clothes, look out for special design features in boys clothes and girls dresses that will encourage children to learn to dress themselves. Examples might include T-shirts, tops and dresses that are reversible, making it impossible for children to put them on back-to-front. Look for elasticated waistbands to make trousers easy to pull on and take off, as well as tops, dresses and trousers that are specially designed for small hands to slip on easily. Consider also how and where the clothes need to be fastened, velcro on girls shoes for example is easier than laces, zippers with tabs that are easy for a child to grip and pull without any help are also good, as are press-studs that are easy to fasten and buttons and buttonholes that are colour coordinated will all help to encourage independent dressing.
