Back to School Is Making My Head Spin

Three kids to get ready for the 2011-2012 school year.  One who wants only hot lunch (the oldest) and two that want cold. Three backpacks. Enough folders and loose leaf paper and regular pencils and colored pencils to outfit a classroom.

The surprise of 40 degree weather this morning, a check of the five day forecast on Weather.com, digging fleece hoodies out of the closet.

Spongebob backpack just for Kaitlyn embroidered with her name (shout-out to personalcreations.com) and bearing two large white cards pinned to the front, one telling the Kindergarten teacher that she goes to K.A.P. (Kindergarten Activity Program, basically another half-day of school, just less formal) at 11:40, and one telling the K.A.P. teacher what bus to put her on at 3:30.

New Hello Kitty tennis shoes, new Disney Fairies lunch bag, EasyLunchboxes.com lunch containers.

Forms signed, schedules copied, more forms.

The stress of a morning schedule that includes getting up way too early, driving Chris to carpool, and then racing back just in time to meet the bus, which picks Kaitlyn up directly in front of our house.  Crossing my fingers for no traffic jams.

One in High School, one in Middle School, one in Kindergarten. This is going to be a very interesting school year.
