My Kids Are All Super Awesome!

I absolutely must brag about how awesome my kids are!  All three of them had fantastic school years and it deserves to be blogged.

Kaitlyn finished preschool with no problems of any kind. She made friends with everybody and behaved for her teachers.  She’s reading ahead of grade level, can write the alphabet, and if I spell out the words, can write pretty much anything. I especially like her “come to my tea party” handwritten invitations :)

Nathan ended 6th grade with FIVE A’s plus a B- in Science and a C+ in Math, which we are perfectly happy with. He had no behavior problems despite the frustrations of his learning disability, and he tested into 8th grade Spanish for next year. He applied for and was chosen to be his Homeroom representative at Graduation. He got to read a short speech about what his class put in the Time Capsule and also was in charge of putting all the letters they wrote plus a class video into the Time Capsule. He did a great job!  I introduced myself to both his Principal and one of the lunch monitors, and they both said it was a good thing we’d never met, because it meant Nathan had never been in trouble at school :)

At his 8th grade recognition ceremony-slash-graduation, Ryan got the All A’s award, the Principal’s Award, and a Creative Thinking award.  As a Freshman, he’ll be taking all Advanced Placement classes including 10th grade Geometry. He sets a goal for himself of nothing but the best and achieves it every single time.   He takes every extra credit assignment he can,  works hard in Orchestra, and is thinking about running for Student Senate next year. He also has a great group of friends who are all really good kids, and he also never gets in trouble at school. I don’t think we could possibly be prouder of him!

Like I said, SUPER AWESOME!
