T-Shirts, Posters, and IMDb

This post is sponsored by the fine, fine folks at CafePress

You’ve heard of CafePress, right? It’s the site where you design your own custom t-shirts with whatever sayings or graphics you want, then set your own price above the base price for the shirt, and keep the profit from your sales. Some people do it to make money, some do it because they want to make a t-shirt that says exactly what they’ve always wanted on a shirt.

I have a store on CafePress, have I mentioned that? I came up with a shirt idea wayyyy back in 2006 thinking people would buy them and I’d make money to go to BlogHer. I was the only person who bought a shirt. Maybe it was only clever to me?

Get it?  The song? “I might like you better if we slept together”? Except I substituted blogged for slept? Is clever, yes?  It might just be me :P

Ahem. ANYWAY,  you can put your clever saying on all kinds of stuff on CafePress, like film posters and canvas art prints,  coffee mugs and water bottles and beer steins, mousepads and bibs and messenger bags. Did I mention film posters?

*swoon* SO. Please do not commit copyright infringement, but to get ideas for posters or t-shirts or any other item based on a movie, you could start with the Internet Movie Database, also known by it’s abbreviation IMDb or sometimes written as IMDB.

I typed some of my favorite movie quotes into the CafePress search, and I see that someone already came up with a whole line of “Tigers love pepper…they hate cinnamon” merchandise.  Best line from The Hangover!  Just wanna warn you – searching CafePress could lead to a loss of several HOURS of your day as you browse and search, browse and search. There must be millions of items listed.  Heck, you could probably do your entire holiday gift list just from there!  CafePress ROCKS, and not just cuz they sponsored this post :)

disclosure: I said it twice in the post, but just in case the FTC isn’t sure – I’m getting paid for the links in this post. Everything else I wrote is all me.
