Win A Trip To Ride Manta Mania At SeaWorld!

This is totally insanely AWESOME! My fearless leader Ted Murphy took a group of bloggers to SeaWorld for an exclusive tour of the construction of a new ride called Manta Mania, that has you laying down strapped underneath a giant thing shaped like a manta ray, FLYING through a cave-like Aquarium and then swooping around on a ginormous roller coaster! He’s got a four minute video on his site http://www.ted.me/manta that you have GOT to see, click that link and prepare to be blown away!

In the interest of full disclosure, I’m telling you right upfront, that this post is part of my gig as one of the IZEA Insiders. We get special opportunities to tell our readers about the hottest happenings involving IZEA!  So that the ten of us aren’t all running separate contests,  Ted is coordinating everything on his site. SO, if you want to WIN A TRIP TO SEAWORLD, head on over to http://www.ted.me/manta to read all the rules, each person can earn three entries. You can leave a comment on Ted’s post, post a tweet, or write your own blog post about the contest.  You could also win a prize pack full of SeaWorld swag!

So what are you waiting for, head over to Ted’s and enter the contest! You could win a trip for four including airfare, hotel, and two full days at SeaWorld!  AWESOME!

p.s. After watching that video, I am SO glad I’m going to IZEAfest this year. I hope Wendy Piersall is there, cuz that lady looks like a lot of fun to hang with!

For a Monday, today is pretty good

I have spent most of the last WEEK doing mainly one of two things- sleeping, and blowing my nose. Or trying to, at least. My husband, what a guy. For really all of last week, he picked up groceries on the way home, cooked dinner, did most or all of the cleanup afterwards, took care of Kaitlyn and the boys-while I moaned about my lack of oxygen intake and honked pointlessly into a growing mountain of Kleenex.

Then I discovered, tucked away in the back of my bathroom storage, a forgotten-but-still-sealed bottle of Vicks Early Defense nasal spray. It was a freebie at BlogHer 2007 in Chicago, and I snagged about half a dozen bottles since I have allergies and get tons of colds. Let me tell you what-that stuff is STRONG. One spray feels like you stuck a sharp stick into the side of your nostril, but dang, it opens that sucker up and next thing you know, you are BREATHING FREELY.

I took long, Vicks-and-Sudafed laced naps with dreams that were just plain weird, but my dreams are weird anyway. In fact, a nap sounds pretty good right about now…

More cheers for Adam, Martin, and Ashley at IZEA, who slaved over this blog until it became perfection. Poor Adam, I think I’ve just about driven him nuts with all my “oh, one more thing?” emails today. But dang, yo, it’s HOT in here! I even brought back the ole’ blogroll, although now that I see how long it is, I’m thinking it will have to move to the (um, yeah) Blogrolls page (durrr) and I’ll figure out something else to put in it’s place.

How would you feel about a chat box here? IZEA’s got this Cloudshout thing, it will show you when I’m logged in to the blog and you can chat with me right there. That could definitely be on it’s way.

So yeah. Slightly better breathing ability today. Tons o’ posts to write of course, but isn’t there always? Happy with the blog. Excited that a blog friend I’ve been chatting with on Messenger for over a year will be in Michigan in May and will meet me for lunch! All in all, not a bad Monday at all. How’s yours?

Look! (*cough*) My New Theme! (*achoo*)

I hab a code ib by dose. Breathing out of my nose is hit-or-miss, leaving my throat dry and sore and my head sort of buzzy. Whee! Oxygen Deprivation! Woot!

But, cheering me up and lifting my spirits today is this bee-yoo-tee-ful new, professionally designed theme! Isn’t it pretty?! Notice the return of the five-petaled wild geranium flower in the header and as an icon in the sidebars-yay! This beautiful design comes to me courtesy of the IZEA design team, and I love everything about it!

Both the boys want to have friends spend the night tonight, but I just don’t have the energy to deal with that many extra kids in the house, so I had to make an executive parental decision. Ryan’s friend spends tonight, Nathan’s friend spends tomorrow night. I don’t think I’m contagious, as long as I wash my hands a lot and don’t sneeze directly onto either of them, I think they’ll be fine.

Since this template is brand new, if you happen to come across something that doesn’t work right, a bad link or anything, please let me know in a comment, or with a DM on Twitter (twitter.com/Table4Five) or an email at elizabeth(at)table4five(dot)net. With the way I feel today, it’s a miracle I got myself dressed correctly, so I wouldn’t put it past myself to miss something really obvious.

Over on MomReviews, I’ve got a giveaway of a $50 gift card to Carrabba’s that ends tonight at 10:00 PM ET. On MomCooks I have the recipe for Italian Sausage Lasagna with photos, and today’s Four Foods on Friday. Hope you’ll stop by! And could you bring over some extra Kleenex while you’re at it? thanks.
