Another great coupon code site!

I just had no idea there were so many sites that post online discounts and coupon codes! I found another one called ZeroGShot.com that has a coupon code for everything from antivirus software to women’s clothing. A tag cloud-style category listing makes it easy to search for what you are looking for, or you can search by store. I like how for each store listed it shows the number of deals that are available on that site, too. There’s quite a variety of stores, some that I didn’t even know had discounts available, like ten percent off of non-tech items at OfficeDepot.com. Every little bit helps!

I seriously need to start my Christmas shopping, you know? Christmas is just over two months away and I haven’t even started! The gifts category on ZeroGShot has coupon codes for buy one, get one 30% off on photo books, buy one get one 50% off on calendars, and 25% off on personalized ornaments and mugs. They also have deals from Wal-Mart on iPhones and laptops, although I don’t think anyone on my Christmas list is getting one of those, at least not from me :) And for movie lovers, there’s a link to DVDs on Buy.com for only $6.25! Now THAT is a great deal. Even if you weren’t planning to do your holiday shopping online, if you can save money that way over buying at a retail store, you should check out sites like ZeroGShot first!

Save money with Coupon Codes

Shop.com wants to help you save money on your holiday shopping. A shopping comparison site, Shop.com lets you browse by category or brand, and find just what you are looking for. Their Kids and Baby shop has clothing, winter jackets, even school uniform pieces. They pull together the best deals from stores like Old Navy and JC Penney and with one shopping cart, you can buy items from multiple stores in one transaction.

Shop.com has this shop where you can send someone an eGift, have you heard of doing that? You send the recipient a personalized list of gift choices by email, they pick the one they like, then you complete the transaction. It might seem kind of impersonal, but let’s say you know your Dad likes books by a certain author, but you’re not sure which ones he’s already read. Or your friends in another state have had a baby and you aren’t sure what baby gear they need. An eGift lets them choose just what they’d like. The gift center also has gift baskets for babies, wedding gifts, and flower bouquets.

The best part of Shop.com has to be the Coupons and Rebates page and the Free Shipping page. Before you make your purchase, you can check to see if there is an online coupon code available or if a store is offering free shipping on the item you want to buy. You’ll save money and time. And that’s a good thing for any time of the year.

For my U.K. readers-how to find just what you need!

Two hundred and forty seven MILLION, four hundred forty seven thousand, and forty one. That is how many products are listed on the ShopWiki UK shopping search engine site. I’m pretty sure that’s every product in existence! Unlike sites that require stores to pay for placement, ShopWiki UK does not, which is why the site has 30,000 stores listed. That’s a LOT of stores, people. And the Wiki part of the title? Just like it says, the site combines web-crawling technology with consumer-written wiki (like Wikipedia, but not affiliated).

So, let’s say you are expecting a baby and you are ready to shop for a Car Seat. Type that into the ShopWiki search bar and you’ll get back 12, 164 results. Yikes, that’s a lot of reviews to read. Refine further by defining Baby Car Seats, and that narrows the results down to 268. Okay, that’s a little easier, but still a lot of pages to go through. What if you define a specific brand of car seat that you have read or been told is a good one to buy? If you type in Britax Baby Car Seats, now you are down to 64 results with links to the stores selling that specific brand, and when you mouse over the title of each listing, a box pops up showing the stores and their prices. Easy to search, easy to compare prices!

Shopping search engines make using the Internet to find just what you need SO much easier. And combing them with Wikis means that you get consumer opinions, not just the information that the store has paid for. ShopWiki UK is sure to have a listing for just what you are looking for!
